The cut-edge of Chinese Herbs on asthmatic treatment

Chinese herbs have been used to treat asthma for over thousand years. In most cases of asthma, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are amazingly effective. After a series of treatments, symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath are reduced. The frequency of episodes of respiratory distress can also be minimized. Many people can usually resume an active lifestyle.

In general, Chinese herbs are prescribed as customized formulas which are different for each patient. Herbal treatment helps to strengthen the lungs and immune system, reducing the likelihood of a return of an asthma attack. According to the patient’s condition, many herbs are put together in a group to enhance the benefit of the treatment with little to no side effects. Some herbs have anti-inflammatory properties and others fight infection.

Acupuncture points on the body are intersections of nerves and blood vessels. Acupuncture treatment believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This stimulation triggers various healing mechanisms throughout the circulatory and nervous systems reducing inflammation of the mucus membranes of the respiratory tract while also supporting the immune system.
