COVID-19 SAFETY

At Gao Acupuncture Center, we are committed to the health and safety of our staff and patients. In order to reduce risk and preserve a safe office environment during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be implementing the following changes upon reopening of our clinic.

PATIENT INTERACTIONS

Facemasks: Please wear face masks inside our clinic all the time. Staff will be wearing face masks as well.

Pre-Screening: Please be on the lookout in email before each appointment, for COVID-19 pre-screening. This must be filled out prior to your appointment. Please try to schedule most appointments online at this time.

Check-In Practices: We will check you in, meet you at the door. You will need wash your hands using water  and soap/hand sanitizer,  bring you directly to the treatment room.

Payments: We are using touch-less payment options  Zelle or Venmo:

Re-Scheduling: Please be forthcoming about any illness. Appointments can be re-scheduled, and there will be no fees for cancelling at this time.

Waiting Room: We are avoiding use of the waiting area at this time. Please do not bring any guests with you to your appointment. Minimizing the number of people in the clinic will help to control the spread of illness.

FACILITY SAFETY

Surface Sanitization Practices:

  1. Workstations: Workstations will be cleaned properly multiple times per day.

  2. Patient Areas: All patient areas will be disinfected between appointments. In addition to treatment tables, all therapeutic equipment, counter tops, chairs, door handles, clipboards, and garment hooks will be disinfected prior to and following each treatment. We are using EPA approved products according to the CDC.

  3. Daily Disinfection: We will ensure the office is disinfected prior to opening and after closing on a daily basis.

 

PERSONNEL AND PRACTITIONER SAFETY

  1. Staff Pre-Screening: We will conduct pre-screening of staff at the beginning of each shift, assess suspicious symptoms, and send the staff member home if any COVID-19 related symptoms are present.

  2. Protect Personnel: We will ensure that all office personnel who come in close contact with patients wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face masks and/or gloves.

PS: We are closely monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government and public health officials.
